Open day for the JNC: The university of Jordan on 10/7/2003 and the
University of Mu'tah on 14-7-2003 organized an open day hosting the JNC to
present the JNC activities.
-
Visiting consultants: a consultant on legislation BY WHO visited the JNC and organized three days workshops and then met with the
chairman and secretary of each task force and suggested amendments which
was taken into consideration.

Workshops were done by the council; one on legislation on
Sep. 16-18, 2003 . Another workshop on midwifery was organized on
13-10-2003.

Participation in local and international conferences:

HRH headed a delegation from JNC to attend the international
nursing council conference which was held between 26-6- to 2-7-2003 and
paper was presented on behalf of the JNC. Three JNC shields were awarded
to Moroccan nursing and midwife council, the president & chief
executive officer of the ICN.

HRH and a JNC delegation visited EMR offices on 10-12-2003 and met
with the regional director and listened to a brief about EMR from program
directors.

HRH opened the activities of nursing at the Royal Medical Services
conference on 9-10-2003 & the secretary general gave presentation
about the JNC.

HRH patron the workshop on ethical and legal challenges organized
by JUST in collaboration of the Jordan Nursing and Midwife Council on
20-8-2003.

Under the Patronage of HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein the second award of
the nursing who are first in their class was organized on Aug. 11, 2004
at the University of Jordan.

SG participated in the round table discussion on midwifery at Hashemite
University on 30th Dec. 2003

The SG & Secretary participated in the workshop on aids at
Jordan University on 18-12-2003.

SG gave presentation to 4th year student at JU on 7-12-2003.

SG participated in the workshop on macroeconomics organized by the
Higher Health Council in collaboration of WHO.

SG and other JNC members participated in the nursing
conference of Al Zaytooneh University on 30-9-2003.

JNC delegate visited Alia college to disucss the problem of
comprehensive exams of the associate degree on 11-9-2003. The JNC knew
that exam organizers were non nurses.

JNC delegate met with secretary general of ministry of
education to discuss the JNC proposal to cancel the nursing tawjihi on
8-9-2003

SG and other JNC members attended a workshop on palliative
care organized by the Jordan University Hospital on 2-9-2003 and the
process of including palliative care in nursing curriculum was discussed.

JNC delegate visited with the present of Al Bayt University on
27-7-2003, to discuss the issue of contribution of the university to the
JNC.

JNC delegate visited with the present of Applied Sciences
University on 12-7- 2003, to discuss the issue of contribution of the
university to the JNC.

A delegate from JNC visited with the minister of higher education
on 4-5-2003 to discuses critical issues in nursing education and the
gender issue.

SG
participated in the continuous health education organized by the ministry
of health in collaboration of WHO. SG
prepared paper on CNE and the administrative and financial
committee of the JNC discuss it and made amendments. Paper is ready if CE
is to be mandatory.
