Members 2003
Four
board meetings took place
- Tuesday 28-1-2003: board members overviewed the amendments of the law,
the organizational structure, the strategic planning and the action plan
for the 2003, the formation of the adhoc taskforce, and dividing board
members into two committees; the administrative and financial committee
and the professional committee and last the financial status of the
council.
-Wednesday 16-4- 2003: board members overviewed the web site of the
council, summary on the adhoc taskforce formed and expected activities
of each taskforce, approving the incentives for the taskforce, approving
the Budget for the year 2003, approving to rent a place for the JNC,
forming a planning committee to plan for open days for the middle, south
and north, approving to do shields for the JNC, approving to invite the
nursing students first in their classes so that HRH will present shields
to them and approving the salary of the legal councilor.

Monday 28-7-2003: the Board discussed the participation in the ICN
conference, discussing the projects prepared by the council; the
leadership for change, and the center for research, training and
consultancy, discussing the financial status of the council, follow up
on the law amendments, follow up on the other by laws, discussing the
visit of the WHO consultant on mid Sep., finishing the first draft of
the nursing practice act, renting the new place of the JNC and approving
to send a letter to the minister of education proposing canceling the
nursing tawjihi as JNC position.

Monday
6-10-2003: An overview of the WHO consultant workshop and activities was
presented. The board approved the three year action plan, the financial
budget for the year 2004, the contribution of each sector was decided by
the administrative and financial committee and a letter was sent to each
institution signed by HRH, delegated to SG and Secretary to furnish the
new place and approved the formation of two permanent committees the
practice committee and the licensure committee and to propose names for
the two committees
