The activities of the adhoc committees

Education Taskforce: Accreditation standards were put by this committee
and the foundation for preceptorship mentorship and research was laid
out.

Specialization committee:
suggested two types of specialization the diploma after Baccalaureate
specialties include cardiac , pediatrics, nephrolopy, diabetes,
orthopedic, emergency, midwifery, oncology, neurology, quality and
infection control nursing and masters level in specializtion which
include intensive care, acute care, pediatrics, education , oncology,
administration, reproductive health, mental health and community health
nursing.

Nursing manpower:
the study is complete and in the hands of the two national consultants
to review and amend.

Standards of care and practice:
completed both in Arabic and English; to be reviewed by the chairman
committee before being reviewed and be approved by the JNC Board.

The activities of the permanent committees
-
Administrative and financial committee: two meeting took place the first
to select an external auditor and the second to discuss the budget and
the amount contribution of health sectors.

The planning committee: met
once on 10/2/2004 at eleven am discuses the Jordanian nursing days &
HRH Birth day on 25/4/2004.

The Professional committee: met
once to discuss the agenda for the September Board Meeting.

The
Purchasing and receiving committee: Met four times to purchase furniture
and equipment for JNC.

The Practice committees:
met three times and decided to withhold the meeting until the standards
and by laws are approved.

The licensure committee: met two times to decide on the terms of
initiating an award for nursing excellence and innovation. |
