board meetings took place
The
Thirteenth meeting took place in Sunday 27/2/2005 headed by HRH Princess
Muna, The President of the Council.
Items
discussed include the following

Competency exam and the approval of the Minister of Higher Education
to delegate to the Council the running of competency exam

Conference news,

Mentorship workshops conducted so far
-
The financial status of the Council
-
El Servier Limited offer to translate one of their books.
The
Fourteenth meeting took place in April 27th 2005 headed by HRH Princess
Muna Al Hussein the President of the Council.
Items
discussed include the following
-
Competency exam,
-
The doctoral program at the University of Jordan,
-
Strategies on research,
-
The manpower study for the ministry of health requested by the
Minister and delegated to Dr. Ibrahim to head a committee.
The
Fifteenth meeting took place in July 7th 2005 and headed by the Minister
of Health, the vice president.
Items
discussed included the folloing;

Postponing approval of training courses by law for next meeting
and forming a small committee to revise it again.

Overview of what has been done for the preparation of the
conference,
-
Donation of Amman Mayor for the conference.
-
The competency exam and whether to consider it as a licensure or
competency exam and the decision to carry on preparing for the exam.
The
Sixteenth meeting which took place in October 13th 2005 headed by HRH
Princess Muna. Items discussed included the following:

Approval of the end of year financial statement

Approval of by law of training courses, standards of practice care
and administration. - -- Dr. Rowaida promised to call the Amman mayor to
speed the designation of land to JNC

Other
issues discussed the increase of nursing students and the lack of proper
practical training
