For the second year the
female nursing campaign "Nursing is a Model of Honor" was continued; by
launching the second female nursing campaign "My Ambition … Your
Ambition" under the patronage of HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein in April,
2008. The campaign which aimed to encourage females toward nursing
profession was conducted in collaboration with USAID-funded SABEQ
Program.
The campaign targeted the
female students between 13-16 years old from different Jordan
governorates, especially Ma'an City.
Campaign
Goals:
In addition to encourage
females toward nursing profession, the campaign aimed to enhance the
image of nurses in Jordanian society by focusing on the specialized
roles of nurses at the work areas and to increases the knowledge and
understanding of the opportunities available within the profession.
Campaign
strategy:
To
achieve its goals the campaign set a strategy by choosing seven nurses
"called ambassadors" to be the speakers in all the campaign activities
and to reflect the real image of nurses to the main target group of the
campaign and to the community. Those ambassadors were chosen for
different work settings and they represented role models in their work
