First JNC Nursing:
Global Citizenship Conference 2006

Conference Recommendations

The recommendations that came from the three days emphasized that :

 1- Nurses have an important role on operationlizing the MDG’s in order to advocate and improve the quality of lives of people of our nations.

2- Establish and expand global networks for exchange of nursing knowledge expertise for the ultimate goal of advancing nursing knowledge , practice, and research.

3- Agree on global competencies of nursing graduates and assure the integration and implementation of these competencies within the nursing curricula

4- Create a culture that foster research utilization, dissemination and utilization and emphasize cultural specific needs

5- Create universal standards to assure accountable practices towards one another

6- Create a safe environment for nurses to function effectively specially in countries with conflict and war

7- Shortage of nurses is a global issue, countries need to develop interventions that address regulatory issues to balance  more workshop & more practice & other conceder in evidence passed practice.
