Dear
Participants
Ahlan Wa
Sahlan(Welcome)
It
gives me great pleasure to invite you all to Jordan for the Second
International Nursing Conference, "The Less Traveled Road: Search for
New Realities”, which is being organized by the Jordanian Nursing
Council in collaboration with Jordan University, Royal Medical Services
and King Hussein Cancer Center on April 23rd 2008.
The conference venue will be at the Dead
Sea “the lowest spot on earth”, at 400 meters below sea level. At
that time of the year (April), the average temperature is around 16-22ú
C (61-72ú
F). The Dead Sea is about 35 minutes drive from Amman, our
Capital City.
The
conference will provide a platform for scholars and practitioners,
academic and practice nurses to explore ways to bring forward new
paradigms into practice, education, research and health care systems, as
well as balancing priorities, and accountability for decisions and
actions.
The conference will also
provide a platform for nurses to share new experiences, networking,
forming partnerships, identifying new future directions for quality
nursing and highlighting the benefits of interdisciplinary
collaboration.
There
will be excellent pre-conference workshops as well as presentations from
noted keynotes speakers.
Apart from the well
prepared scientific program, there will be a very interesting social
program.
As you may know, Jordan
has recently rejoiced at “Petra” being one of the new 7 wonders of the
world, so I take this opportunity to invite all to visit Petra and the
many other historical sites of Jordan.
I look forward to
meeting each and everyone one of you at this exciting event
Muna Al Hussein
President of the JNC
